Who we are
Johnston Entertainment is the studio home of Nashville-based producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist Jesse Johnston. He offers full-service music production across a wide range of genres, including country, pop, Americana, and beyond.
Jesse is completing an associate degree in Audio Engineering at SAE Institute, where he has gained hands-on experience with industry-standard tools. He graduated with his diploma in 2025 with a 4.0 GPA! He is Pro Tools certified and is also proficient in Logic Pro and Studio One, enabling him to deliver high-quality productions tailored to each artist’s unique vision no matter the DAW. With a background deeply rooted in traditional country music, Jesse’s skills as a multi-instrumentalist give him a unique perspective on the creative process, helping artists achieve their best performances in the studio.
Jesse began engineering as a hobby in 2016 and quickly developed his skills through hands-on experience and dedication. From February to August 2025 worked in a vocal studio working with dozens of vocalists from all skill levels developing his skills, not just for mixing, but for working with artists and getting their best performances. With nearly 10 years of personal experience, a year of formal audio engineering education, and a year working professionally, Jesse combines seasoned skills with a fresh, innovative perspective.
As a former member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), Jesse spends much of his time co-writing and recording his own music, which keeps him connected to the songwriting craft and evolving industry trends. He also regularly performs at songwriter nights and enjoys working with new artists and being their new songs to life!
Whether recording a stripped-down acoustic track, building a polished pop production, or mixing a full-band session, Jesse approaches every project with professionalism and a laid-back, artist-first mindset. He believes every song tells a story, and it is his mission to ensure that story shines through every aspect of the production.
In addition to studio work, Jesse is committed to continuous learning and staying current with the latest audio technologies. His passion for creativity and collaboration makes Johnston Entertainment a trusted partner for artists looking to bring their musical vision to life.
